A Dental Practice To Serve Your Whole Family
You just got the news. Your long-time family dentist is retiring. While you are happy for her, you know you need to find a new place to meet the general dentistry needs of your family.
Our dentists are based in Rochester Hills, MI, but we treat patients from Auburn Hills, Troy, and everywhere in between. Our staff loves meeting new patients, and we would love to get to know you and your family.
We invite you to call Hubbard & Leath Dental or, better yet, to stop by our office in person to see for yourself what we can offer you and the people you love more than anything else.
In our practice, we put as much emphasis on care as we do on dentistry. When you visit our office, we want you to feel welcomed. We want you to feel comfortable, and we want you to feel like this is a place where you can relax.
We have taken steps to create an atmosphere where different patients with different needs can feel comfortable in our office. In each of our operatories, we have televisions so you can watch one of your favorite shows to take your mind off your treatment.
Other people prefer to keep their eyes closed and listen to music. For you, we have headphones that you can wear to keep your mind on something other than your dental care.
When your treatment is finished, we will offer you a warm towel to help you feel clean and cozy.
We also treat patients every day who experience dental anxiety and dental fear. If this describes you or someone in your family, we can provide sedation dentistry.
Nitrous oxide and oral conscious sedation are the most common types of dental sedation that we offer. For more complex procedures, we may recommend other forms of sedation.
General dentistry is the foundation of any good family practice. Identifying, treating, and preventing tooth decay and gum disease will make dental care easier for your family (and your wallet).
We encourage all our patients to visit us a couple times each year for professional cleanings and examinations. Our hygienists will provide a thorough cleaning of your and your children’s mouths.
We will remove any plaque or tartar buildup, and we will look for signs of cavities or gum disease. With X-rays, we will monitor any changes to your teeth or your children’s teeth. If we find problems, we will explain what can be done. The sooner we treat those issues, the less likely they are to develop into bigger problems.
Prevention is a key component to maintaining your oral health, which is why our staff values patient education as well.
We can demonstrate proper brushing and flossing techniques. We can show you how to use different oral hygiene products, like electric toothbrushes and water picks, and we can answer questions you may have about home care.
Growing With Your Family
As your children get older, their dental needs will change.
Younger children will naturally lose their baby teeth to make room for their adult teeth to erupt. At the same times, their mouths are growing, and we will watch for any crowding or alignment problems so you can be prepared in case they need braces later.
If that is the case, we can help with that, too. In our office, we can straighten misaligned teeth with traditional braces, ceramic braces, and ClearCorrect clear, plastic aligners.
Many times people who use braces or aligners are doing so to improve their smiles. It’s equally important to understand the health benefits of having straight teeth.
Straight teeth are easier to clean, which helps to remove bacteria and plaque when you are brushing and flossing.
As your children get older, their wisdom teeth will emerge. Unfortunately, 85 percent of patients will need to have these teeth removed. Much like our appendixes, wisdom teeth have become an extra body part that we only hear about when they are causing a problem.
Again, our staff has the knowledge and the experience to remove your children’s wisdom teeth if needed to prevent long-term oral health problems.
