Dental bridges have been a big part of restorative dentistry for a long time. They give dentists a way to fill gaps created by missing teeth and to restore much of the function of those lost teeth.
But with the development of dental implants, it’s now possible to replace a single tooth without making a bridge. Although implants can also be used to support a dental bridge for someone who is missing more than one tooth.
