Want Straight Teeth? Consider Your Options

Teeth Whitening 2 | Hubbard & Leath Dental - Rochester Hills, MI Dentist

People of all ages have been turning to braces for years to straighten their teeth and enhance their smiles. And while traditional metal braces are still a great option, there are more types of braces available today than ever before.

At Hubbard & Leath Dental, we’re proud to be able to offer three types of braces to patients who are hoping to realign their teeth and straighten their smile. You can learn more about each of the options we offer below, then schedule an appointment at our Rochester Hills, MI dental office to find out how we can transform your smile and give you the straight teeth you want.

Traditional Metal Braces

Metal braces are the original teeth straightening solution and are still relevant and effective today. Traditional metal braces use brackets that are glued to your teeth and attached by wires. The brackets and wires apply gentle pressure to your teeth to gradually realign them and move them into place.

Every time you visit our Rochester Hills, MI dental office, we will adjust or replace your wires. As the new wires apply gentle pressure to your teeth, they will become straighter.

We offer colored rubber bands that can be put on the brackets to give them a pop of color if you desire. We find that our younger patients particularly love this detail!

Clear Ceramic Braces

If you’re not set on having a mouthful of metal to achieve a straight smile, you can rest easy knowing there are other options. Patients of all ages can benefit from clear ceramic braces offered at Hubbard & Leath Dental.

With clear ceramic braces, we use clear brackets made of ceramic that work much like traditional metal braces. The clear brackets are attached to each of your teeth and the brackets are connected by a wire that gradually realigns your teeth.

Like with traditional metal braces, you’ll still have to make regular visits to our office so we can replace your wires.

ClearCorrect Braces

For those of you looking for the most discreet option available, we offer ClearCorrect braces. With ClearCorrect, we use clear aligners, similar to retainers, to gradually straighten your teeth over time. A typical treatment is broken up into phases and the aligners and switched out for new ones after each phase.

These aligners are removable which makes them easy to clean. You can also eat whatever you want while following the treatment.

The aligners should be worn at all times, except when eating and brushing your teeth. It’s also important to keep the aligners clean to prevent a buildup of bacteria on the aligners and your teeth.

Which Braces Are Right For You?

Each of the teeth straightening solutions we offer at Hubbard & Leath Dental works effectively to realign your teeth using gentle pressure over a set period of time. The only way to know for sure which treatment will work best for you is to schedule a consultation so you can discuss your goals with us. We will examine your teeth and take X-rays and impressions if necessary. Then we will take note of any lifestyle factors that may make one of our braces better for you than another.

During your consultation, we can also discuss payment plans, insurance coverage, and any other concerns you may have about the financial aspect of braces. We can assure you that we will work with you to make treatment a possibility because it’s hard to put a price tag on a beautiful, authentic smile.

We’re confident that no matter which option you decide to go with, you will love the results. We want you to look in the mirror and like what you see! Learn more about our braces options today so you can finally have a smile you can show off with confidence.
